Artist statement:
My jewellery is largely sculptural, I like things with form and texture. I also like to put a little bit of humour into the objects, I prefer jewellery that doesn’t take itself too seriously. I mainly work with silver because of its lustre and the way silver changes with age and the wearer. I guess I am intrigued by the way that jewellery interacts with the owner/wearer after it has left my hands, that it takes on another life and could become anything from an heirloom, to discarded.
