Cufflinks start at $220 a pair GST inclusive. We are happy to take custom orders as it only takes approximately 2 to 3 weeks for a new piece to be produced if required.

Bioperspective’s anatomical jewellery designs make memorable gifts for health care professionals, surgeons, nurses, doctors, medical students, teachers, researchers – and anyone who appreciates unique and beautifully crafted jewellery. They also make perfect gift for keynote speakers (conferences, seminars) and for recognition of service.

The original anatomical designs are hand carved in wax, cast in precious metal using the lost wax technique and then hand finished. While most pieces are cast in sterling silver, they can be ordered in gold vermeil (gold plated over solid sterling), or solid white or yellow gold.

Lord Coconut, the store, is named after a member of the British aristocracy who came to Melbourne via Easter Island.  It was there in 1884 that he was infamously dubbed ‘Lord Coconut’, after pretending to know the native language of the Islanders, but upon demonstration he was pelted with coconuts by the locals to the delight of fellow travellers.  We hear of Lord Coconut again in 1891 when The Argus newspaper heralded the opening of ‘Lord Coconut’s Emporium of Wonder’ in Melbourne.

Lord Coconut is now open, Mark Boldiston and Beth Croce from Bioperspective are available for interviews.

Opening hours:  Tuesday to Friday 11am – 6pm, Saturday 11am – 3pm. Sunday, by appointment.

Lord Coconut is a successful recipient of the City of Melbourne Small Business Grants program
