NEW JEWELLER – YOUSSEF TAYEB

(February 29, 2012) – Lord Coconut, is Melbourne’s only retailer, gallery, and online boutique selling contemporary jewellery designed exclusively for men. Lord Coconut stocks over 300 individual jewellery pieces and designer cufflinks and represents over 30 Melbourne and interstate jewellers, artisans and designers

Lord Coconut is pleased to present our latest jeweller to join the store, Youssef Tayeb from Side One Project.

Melbourne based and Melbourne designed, Side One Project is a jewellery collection created by Youssef Tayeb. Tayeb states “As a freelance Industrial Designer by trade, these unique pieces draw on my expertise in the field of rapid product prototyping”.

Tayeb goes on to say “Coupling digital modelling with additive manufacturing processes (3D printing) allowed me to produce intricate, geometrically driven forms, adapted to a wearable medium”.

Produced in limited edition runs and hand finished in a tiny studio, these pieces explore his relationship with design and craft, intent and outcome, the hand and the machine.
