Alison Raven is a contemporary jeweller who lives and works in the rolling hills of Melbourne’s north east. Her rural surrounds and the abundance of native flora and fauna inspire her practice and her background in printmaking is reflected in her love of surface texture and pattern.

A degree in graphic design, a career in publishing, a lifetime as an artist working across a range of media, including drawing, photography, mosaic and printmaking, led Alison to an Advanced Diploma of Jewellery and Object Design at Melbourne Polytechnic. Her work primarily utilises fine silver, titanium and niobium; experimentation and the joy of making keeps her work fresh and always evolving.
