Samantha Dennis is an emerging artist and jewellery maker living in Northern Tasmania, with her studio based in Launceston’s CBD. Sam graduated with First Class Honours from the Tasmanian College of the Arts (UTas) in 2014 and has maintained a steady flow of production since. In 2015 sam exhibited her honours portfolio at Constance ARI (Hobart) and a new body of work titled ‘Biophilia’ at Devonport Regional Gallery. In that year she was also a recipient of the ‘ArtStart Grant’ from the Australia Councilfor the arts and undertook a residency at Hellyer College (Burnie) which was funded by Arts Tasmania. Sam is an active member of the board of directors at Sawtooth ARI Gallery in Launceston, having been invited to join the gallery’s board in early 2014, and has held the position of Treasurer since mid-2015.
